Short version: SellerScope does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you type stays on your own device.
What SellerScope does
SellerScope is a browser extension that adds a profit and product-research panel to public product pages on marketplaces such as Amazon, Etsy and AliExpress. It reads information that is already visible on the page you are viewing (for example the listed price and public review counts) so it can calculate profit, margin and break-even for you.
Data we collect
None that leaves your device. Specifically:
- We do not collect your name, email, or any account or personal information.
- We do not track your browsing history or the pages you visit.
- We do not send any data to our servers or to any third party. SellerScope makes no network requests of its own.
Data stored on your device
The numbers you enter into the panel — such as product cost, shipping cost and your fee percentages — are saved locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local API, purely so you don't have to re-type them on the next product. This data never leaves your computer and is removed if you uninstall the extension or clear its data.
Permissions we request
- storage — to remember your cost and fee inputs locally, as described above.
- activeTab / host access to the listed marketplaces — so the panel can read the price and public details on the product page you are actively viewing.
We request the minimum permissions needed for the extension to function.
Third parties
SellerScope does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking code.
